Road Rage Results in Fatal San Bernardino Bicycle Accident
A bicyclist was killed after being the unintended victim of a road rage accident in San Bernardino. According to a KTLA news report, the incident occurred the afternoon of June 4 when the drivers of a 2003 Infiniti and a 2000 BMW got involved in some type of altercation as they were driving east on West Fifth Street. The Infiniti, driven by 32-year-old Rosendo Ortiz, and the BMW driven by 28-year-old Karina Saucedo, were involved in the altercation over several minutes.
The two vehicles reached the intersection of Fifth Street and Ramona Avenue when a bicyclist was crossing the street. The bicyclist was struck by Ortiz’s vehicle while Saucedo swerved and crashed into a parked car. The bicyclist, who has not been identified, died at the scene. Both drivers remained at the scene to speak with investigators after the accident. No arrests or citations have been reported. Fatality Caused by Road Rage
Based on this news report, it appears that this tragic accident was caused by road rage.
