The Giving Spotlight on BestAttorney.com
Employees at California personal injury law firm, BISNAR | CHASE, are huge supporters of their community and the clients they serve. A new section on the BISNAR | CHASE website (www.BestAttorney.com), called “The Giving Spotlight” sheds light on all the numerous ways this law firm gets involved to make a difference in peoples’ lives.
While at Work
BISNAR | CHASE employees are dedicated not only to providing top-quality legal assistance, but also to supporting the wellbeing of the clients they serve. Clients who have been seriously injured may be out of work during the process of filing claims and reaching settlements, sometimes leaving them and their families in desperate situations. Both Nicole Michau, the supervising litigation paralegal at BISNAR | CHASE, and Javier Ruiz, a paralegal at BISNAR | CHASE, have separately taken it upon themselves to raise money and food for different clients who had fallen on hard times. Their hard work provided assistance to a client and her family as well as found another client, who had nothing but one set of clothes, a place to live.
Getting Involved in the Community
Employees at BISNAR | CHASE have been involved in a variety fundraisers that serve the Orange County community. Every year during the holiday season, the BISNAR | CHASE staff adopts a couple families through the Adopt-A-Family program to help struggling Orange County families have a happy Christmas. BISNAR | CHASE has also volunteered at the “Que’n for Kids” yearly event to raise money for the Kristie Foundation which provides assistance to critically ill children, and has served as a corporate sponsor for the Walk Like MADD 2010 event to spread awareness of the destructive affects drunk driving has in the community.
Supporting Research and Being a Sponsor
Executive assistant at BISNAR | CHASE, Danielle Olson, collected donations in the office to support the Lee National Denim Day, which benefits breast cancer research.
BISNAR | CHASE also makes it a yearly habit to sponsor others who are going and above and beyond to make a difference. They have sponsored BISNAR | CHASE litigation paralegal, Sandra Smith, in the American Legion Rendezvous Surf Fest chili cook-off to raise money for troops and their families, as well as Loree Glenn, a Mission Viejo wife and mother, who road in the 545-mile Lifecycle event to raise money for HIV/AIDS services in San Francisco and Los Angeles. BISNAR | CHASE has also helped Yulee Scafer achieve her $1,800 goal to enter the 39-mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Chicage, IL.
Creating Programs for Change
Another important element of the BISNAR | CHASE philosophy is to create programs and contests that get other people involved. They have recently launched the Viral Video Contest which offer $25,000 in scholarships to students who can create the best “viral video” that spreads a positive, safe, driving message that might help people think twice about driving drunk. The law firm has also recently started the Hit & Run Reward Program with WeTip to provide awards to people who can submit anonymous information that helps authorities capture people who have caused hit-and-run accidents. Lastly, BISNAR | CHASE employs one or more low-income high school students for paid summer internships. Students who work receive a $2,000 stipend and valuable experience while working with a law firm.
