Brian Chase Honored At Orange County Trial Lawyers Association Event
Brian Chase, one of the nation’s leading personal injury attorneys and Orange County auto defects expert was honored as one of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association’s 50 past presidents during an awards gala on Jan. 26 at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. Brian Chase of Bisnar Chase personal injury law firm was honored during the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association’s (OCTLA) 50th Anniversary celebrations on Jan. 26 at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach.
Chase is one of the group’s 50 past presidents in addition to being named one of their Top Guns – Product Liability Trial Lawyer in the year 2004. During the gala event, OCTLA had a special tribute for its 50 past presidents during which Chase was honored.
According to OCTLA’s website, the group was formed in 1963 when a few plaintiffs’ attorneys got together to share information about the challenges they were facing and to exchange various tips and strategies to cope with those challenges. OCTLA is a professional organization, which aims to provide superior education and training for attorneys, serves as a resource to trial attorneys in Orange County and support legislation that protect the public’s access to the civil justice system.
OCTLA is governed by an elected board of directors and executive officers that include the president, president-elect, vice presidents, treasurer, parliamentarian and immediate past president. Officers and board members are elected for a one-year term. OCTLA has been quick to recognize and honor its own members many of whom are distinguished trial attorneys who have won nationwide acclaim for their work as outstanding trial lawyers.
Brian Chase is a native of Southern California, a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, a graduate of Pepperdine School of Law and a personal injury trial attorney for two decades. He has litigated dozens of jury trials and has represented both local and national auto product liability and catastrophic injury cases, obtaining judgments and settlements exceeding $100 million.
In 2012, he won the Consumer Attorneys of California’s (CAOC) prestigious “Attorney of the Year” award for his representation in an auto defects case where a jury awarded victim Jaklin Romine $24.7 million for a defective car seat that rendered her a quadriplegic.
