 Orange County Car Crashes

 What Caused This Intersection Collision?
Based on this news report, it is unclear as to what caused the crash at this Anaheim intersection. The intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Olive Street is monitored by traffic lights. It is not clear if one of the vehicles ran the red light at the street intersection. California Vehicle Code section 21453 (a) states: “A driver facing a circular red signal shall stop at the limit line before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or, if none, then before entering the intersection, and shall remain stopped until an indication to proceed is shown.”
 Liability Issues
In such cases, the at-fault driver can be held liable for the injuries and damages caused. Injured victims can seek compensation for damages including medical expenses, lost wages, hospitalization, rehabilitation, pain and suffering and emotional distress. Multi-vehicle crash investigations, such as this one, can be complex and challenging due to the possibility of multiple accounts of what happened. It may also be challenging for victims to deal with multiple car insurance companies and/or defense lawyers. Victims in such cases should remember not to rush into settlements or sign any agreements or releases without talking to their own injury lawyer. An experienced anaheim personal injury lawyer will be able to ensure that their legal rights and best interests are protected.
