Actress Helen Hunt Hospitalized After Los Angeles Car Accident
Helen Hunt, the star of “Mad About You” and Oscar-winning actress, was admitted to the hospital after a car accident at an intersection in Los Angeles. According to TMZ.com, Hunt, 56, was hospitalized after the black SUV in which she was traveling crashed into another vehicle. The impact from the collision, which occurred the afternoon of Oct. 16, knocked the SUV onto its side. Footage of the collision obtained by TMZ shows a white car hitting Hunt’s vehicle from the right as the SUV was traveling on a straight path across the intersection.

Police said Hunt was the only passenger in the backseat of the vehicle when the incident took place. Hunt was briefly admitted to a Beverly Hills hospital for the pain she was experiencing after the crash. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition and was seen leaving the hospital hours after the incident.
Hunt’s representative told TMZ the actress was shaken by the crash but did not suffer major injuries. The status of the SUV’s driver and the driver of the other vehicle is not known yet. Officials said Hunt was one of several people admitted to the hospital after the collision. Police don’t believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
