Fault and Liability Issues
Based on this report, it appears that the driver was in the process was making a turn when he struck the motorcyclist. However, there are still a number of questions unanswered here. Who had the right-of-way at the time of the incident? Did the vehicle or motorcyclist fail to yield the right of way to the other? Did alcohol or drugs play a part? Was distracted or drowsy driving a factor in this crash? Did a dangerous roadway or intersection cause or contribute to this fatal crash? We trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to evaluate precisely what occurred here and why.
In such cases, the at-fault drivers could be held financially responsible for the injuries, damages and losses caused.
