Royal Gourmet Recalls Gas Grills for Potential Fire Hazard
Royal Gourmet has recalled about 1,100 gas grills because the grill’s gas regulator hose can melt, posing a fire hazard. According to Consumer Reports, the company has received six reports of the grill catching fire. But, so far, there haven’t been any reports of injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) states that the grill recall applies to three models of two-burner grills: GG2004, GG2005 and GG2006. The model numbers can be found on the rear base of the gas grills at the bottom of the frame.
The gas grills were sold exclusively at Wayfair.com from August 2017 through November 2019 for about $240. Consumers who have these grills in their homes are urged to stop using them right away and contact Royal Gourmet for a free accessory repair kit.
