Bisnar Chase Donates to the Red Sox Foundation
March 26, 2012
Those participating in the run receive a “bib” with a chip that records their time, and get a “photo finish” of their crossing of home plate. Walkers enjoy a shorter route but still get to cross home plate and receive a photo of their accomplishment.
Children between six and 15 are welcome to join the walk portion, and anyone over 16 can enter the run. Individuals must commit to $1,000 in fundraising activity, while children can participate for $125 when accompanied by a fundraising adult.
The Red Sox Foundation is raising money to benefit the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Home Base Program. This program provides care for veterans with traumatic brain injury, combat stress, or other casualties, and also provides support for family, clergy, and other caregivers.
Of course, you do not have to walk or run to donate to this exceptional event. If you cannot make it to Boston, you can still participate by donating through the Red Sox Foundation’s website.
Bisnar Chase hopes you will take advantage of the opportunity to help America’s veterans and their families this Memorial Day. For those who have given so much to our country, it is great to be able to give back a little.
