Danger of Electric Shocks
It is important to understand the symptoms of electric shock. Some people who suffer an electric shock may show very few obvious symptoms. For example, some may be in cardiac arrest. Burns are usually most severe at points of contact with the electrical source. When a person is thrown clear of the electrical source by muscular contraction, they may even suffer traumatic injuries such as spinal injuries. Pain in a hand or foot may indicate a possible broken bone caused by violent muscle contraction.
Anyone who has suffered these types of injuries should get prompt medical attention, treatment and care. If your injuries were caused by a defective product, you may be able to file a product liability lawsuit seeking compensation for damages including medical expenses, lost income, hospitalization, pain and suffering and emotional distress. If you have lost a loved one as the result of a faulty product, you may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit seeking compensation as well. An experienced product defect attorney can help you better understand your legal rights and options.
