Man Files Injury Lawsuit Against Bobbi Kristina Brown
A 41-year-old Georgia man has filed a $730,000 lawsuit against Bobbi Kristina Brown for a car accident he says she caused three days before being found unresponsive in her bathtub.
According to a report in the New York Daily News, Russell Eckerman claims that a head-on crash on January 27, 2015 left him with medical bills and damages exceeding $730,000.
Critical Injury Crash
The accident occurred near Atlanta just three days before Brown, Whitney Houston’s daughter was found unconscious in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home. Brown, 21, has been in a coma since January.
The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County Supreme Court, alleges that Brown was speeding and tailgating a car when she lost control of her 2005 Jeep Liberty, swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with Eckerman’s Ford Taurus.
At the time of the crash, a witness said Eckerman was bleeding from his head and did not have a pulse. Eckerman also spent several days hospitalized in critical condition.
Police determined Brown lost control of the Jeep when she blew a right rear tire. Investigators found a nail in the tire.
The lawsuit also names Ford Motor Company charging the airbag in Eckerman’s car did not deploy properly and that its seatbelt was defective as well.
