BISNAR | CHASE Joins the Fight against Breast Cancer
The Newport Beach personal injury lawyers at BISNAR | CHASE have joined the fight against breast cancer by participating in the largest single-day breast cancer fundraiser, Lee National Denim Day. The staff of the prestigious law firm is collecting $5 donations to support Lee Jean’s research for breast cancer and education programs. The staff will be collecting donations from now until the October 4, 2010 donation deadline, and then the staff will wear jeans to work on that day to show their support for breast cancer awareness, detection and treatment.
The Lee National Denim Day was founded in 1996, after a group of employees at the Lee Jeans Company revealed that breast cancer in one way or another had affected them all. Lee Jeans decided to encourage businesses to wear jeans to work on a day they called Denim Day in exchange for a $5 donation. That year they exceeded their goal of $1 million by raising $1.4 million.
This year marks the third consecutive year BISNAR | CHASE has participated in Lee National Denim Day. Founding partner John Bisnar says that Denim Day is a cause his firm will continue to support in the coming years.
“Unfortunately, almost everyone here at BISNAR | CHASE has been impacted by breast cancer in some way, shape or form,” said Bisnar. “That’s why we’re extremely committed to raising funds that will not only help detect and treat breast cancer in its earliest stages — when the chances of survival are greater — but also in supporting research to find a cure for this pervasive disease.”
